Wish to Share Your Photographs? Any orchid lovers would agree that orchid
appreciation is never complete without photographing
the specimen when it blooms. We encourage all to
share their shots of local (Malaysian) wild orchid photographs
through this website. However, their photographs must
satisfy the guidelines below: 1. Must
consist of orchids (when it blooms) that are native
to Peninsular Malaysia (Malaya).1
2.
Orchid photograph must be original.2 (Please quote
reference source if it is taken from elsewhere or
contributed by someone else) 3. Orchid species
must be recognizable through the
supplied photograph. 4. Name of the orchid species if available.
5. Image size should be at least 640 x 480 pixels
with resolution of 72 pixel per inch,3
a size easier to attach through email and a quality
insufficient for high quality commercial printing.
6. Please supply your name or nickname so that we
can accredit you through the watermark4
at the bottom left of your photograph(s). (view

1Note: Photographs of orchids (when it
blooms) from Sabah and Sarawak are also welcomed but
it will only be displayed on the website once that
section is ready tentatively towards the end quarter
of 2006 starting with a section that focuses on
orchids of Sarawak.
2orchidenthusia.com reserves the rights to remove
any photographs from the website without prior
notice if they are found to have infringed any form
of copyright or sent to us without owner's consent
and permission.
3You can send to us the raw photograph
files (downloaded from your digital camera or
scanned) if you face any difficulty trying to
convert to the recommended image size. We will
assist with the conversion.
4All photographs will be watermarked with
a faint 'copyright © courtesy of external
contributor' and 'logo' to avoid
any unauthorized use for publications. (view

All photographs sent to us will be treated with
utmost care and respect, and would not be released
to anyone without prior written consent and
permission from the owner(s). The copyright of the
photographs remains with the respective owner(s).
