Spectacular Jewel of Malaya
Anoectochilus albolineatus is a mountain jewel found from
places ranging from Myanmar to Malaya with dark leaves beautifully
variegated with bright orange-red venation. Commonly with 2-5 blooms,
our highlight however, carried a staggering number of 9 blooms carefully
spaced to one direction (light source) to attract pollinator. This
magnificent display of flowers with curiously-shaped lips might appear
insect-like to many people. Indeed one of the most beautiful jewel at
its best. |
